Started the Nardo wrap

I decided to ignore all advice and not only haveI decided on wrap rather than paint but I am wrapping it myself. Here goes nothing....

Looks good, was the piece not big enough for the tiny spot on the front of the hood under the badge or is that just the plastic radiator support panel underneath the hood?

Thanks for noticing. The sarcasm is much appreciated😀😀😀
That was my first panel and my setup in my garage was pretty ordinary so I had a temporary light hanging from the garage door. I'm getting old so I completely spaced it when I closed the garage door and Said light plummeted to the ground leaving that reminder as it bounced off my bonnet. Pretty nice dent too.

Jus finished wrapping the csl style cf boot lid. My technique is getting better so i will rewrap the bonnet if I am pleased with the look of the car once I am finished.

No sarcasm, it looks good besides the missing spot at the bottom. I couldn't tell if it was the hood or plastic underneath which is why I asked.

It was a bummer. I have learned so much already. Good light, good prep, clean work environment, wrap is forgiving but glue can leave marks under the wrap. Cutting tape is amazing.

Yeah I've watched a bunch of videos on glue lines. Some brands seem to be better, others not so much(3M from what I hear). What are you using?

Avery Denison.

I am dreading the front bumper. For sure I will do inlays in the ducts and upper face of radiator opening then see how far back i can stretch the wrap when I do the one piece. I thought about doing the inlays in black but not sure.

Wrapping Update

Almost there. I think "nice from far but far from nice" best explains the outcome. I spent about $1500 on material. I was quoted $3500 for the whole job. I elected to do it myself. I think I may fine tune the look then have someone do it professionally. Like any work, only myself and true car guys will see all the warts but they are there. Worst is probably a piece of hair under the wrap on the right quarter panel.
