Nice find! I ran aftermarket LED bulbs in OE-style projector fog light housings. With the focussed beam and cutoff, it worked great without causing issues for oncoming cars.

Hey there BMW335ie90. I recently hit a deer with my car, but good news is they gave me a new hood an front bumper and left headlight! I need to replace the fog lights now as one of the lens looks nice and the other is pitted. I live in Marin county and the road I go down doesn't have street lights so was thinking about the Morimotos.
A few questions...did you get the resistor and splitter? I assume the resistor is to assist with throwing codes? Not sure what the splitter is about. Can you share your setup? Thanks in advance! Scott |

If you do not know how to code this option you will likely need the y splitter and resistor to prevent errors. The beam pattern is pretty good but do not have a super far throw distance. Cutoff is crisp with a lot of blue/purple, they sharper than my OEM LCI Headlight frensel lenses no doubt. Since the fog lights are very close to the ground it can be difficult to aim them for maximum distance while also not dazzling other drivers. |

Funny timing on this thread being resurrected. Got a marketing email from TRS and got to thinking about these again... had looked at them before but couldn’t find much feedback from folks who’d actually installed them.
Seeing them makes me wonder whether they’d fit a pre-LCI car though? I realize they’re round whereas my fog light housings are oblique, but I thought they’d just fit in behind the existing acrylic lens. Now that I think about it further, I think my fog lights are one piece, with the only removable part being the bulb. Edit: I see the round profile is an M Sport bumper thing, and that the non M-Sport LCI cars still have fog lights like mine. (The triangle-y looking ones.) Curious to hear what you guys think. Edit 2: Went back and looked at part interchange numbers. Definitely an M-sport only thing with no hope of fitting on my car, which kinda makes sense. Unfortunate, but good for my wallet.
