Refinished all 4 166m's today. Lots of prep work, a coat of self etching primer, 2 coats of black basecoat and 2 coats of hyper-silver urethane enamel. They need to cure overnight so the M stays on the Quickjacks for now.

Looking back, I'm not sure why I didn't address this sooner but… My front bumper and hood needed some fixing from rock chips and the moron who owned it before me scraping some paint off on the sides. Little wet sanding and a paint correction and this 07' 328xi with 167,xxx miles looks as good as it drives, which is about perfect if I may say. Winter wheel setup at the moment as I'm from New England. Interior is mint but I need some saddle sport seats up front with power, heat and memory. Random m5 for eye candy in the back ground.

I went sanded some chips and such on my hood after filling them up with touch up paint. Wet sanded one a previous person over filled with paint as well (knocked down the paint build up). Turned out well.

You can do this on the plastic bumper as well?

I believe so. I had it professionally done as when I started to fill paint chips I didn't like the finished product. Bumper was a full respray as it was bad. Guy wet sanded to blend old and new paint before the paint correction on the non-new paint.

Finished putting together my headlight a week ago, took over 12ft of heat shrink to cover most cables, missing turn signal wires and a couple others. Adaptives still don't work because I have the cables at the connector mixed up. Never attempt to do the wiring without removing the lens, it's extremely time consuming and dumb.

With the bumper off it was a perfect time to finally restore my headlights, finishing at 3:30am . They're about 8.5/10 now, the car is looking much better. I used meguiars headlight clear coat to permanently seal them. Only did two coats but I hope that's enough to keep them nice for a while.

Changed my fuel pressure regulator.
Took 20 minutes. Not sure how a DIY I saw said it would take 3 hours.

Ok, thanks. I assumed you did it yourself, DIY.

Mine was a pain in the ass to remove lol. It lead to the next day. New regulator broke during install. Had to pull a part off the old one to get it going

Maybe I got lucky, LOL.
I did think it was going to be a PITA also. I started it with 1 hour of daylight left, worried I wouldn’t finish.

The worst part was probably pushing the hoses across the tank and trying to find them. But the rest was easy.

Agreed. The hardest part (aside from the mishap) for me was the locking collars. They were on there pretty good

Took me about 45 min to do mine last week. I also thought it was going to take 1.5-2 hours but was pleasantly surprised lol
