I know how you feel, mine is a week behind yours. 14 days at sea is normal, plus a week at the prep center and another week to get to your dealer, so about 4 weeks.

Have you checked the status at the Owner's circle on BMW.com? What step does that say it's at? Mine says "En Route" right now, but the dealer told me I'll have it by May 10.

Hey Sharp:
Isn't En Route mean on the ship? May 10 sounds to soon, but i hope you get it. This means mine will be here soon too. When did your car get completed, as in rolled off the assembly line? N |

The 800 number is unreliable. Mine is in the prep center and the 800 number said that it's scheduled for production. The best sourcr is your dealer. They get the real scoop off of the BMW computer sys.

Ewrek: For me, the step stayed "on order" for 1 week after I ordered it, "scheduled for production" took 1 week, "awaiting transport" took 1 week, and now this "en route" step is going on almost 3 weeks, so that's the log count for right now, at least with mine. I still can't figure out where you guys are getting all this detailed info. I called the 800 number and the lady goes "your next bmw is.......en route. Have a nice day" I'm like, I know that already, but it was a recording! |

I agree with CaptJack, the dealer can look into the system and tell you exactly what's going on with your car. So Sharp, May 10 may be realistic.
When i went to test drive the 330i today, they told me it was still in production till May 3. |

Owner's Circle only gets updated weekly or something. Dealer can get accurate daily updates, like others say. My car came sooner than expected; better they overestimate it and surprise you rather than the opposite. Be patient; May 10 is around the corner.

hey, what is the name of your ship? If you don't know, just call your dealer and ask. you can then go online and track where the ship is. Chances are, its already the prep center or on a truck heading to your dealer.

This is the carrier that will be carrying your ship:
http://www.2wglobal.com/www/WEP/index.jsp You can look at schedules to determine when it docks. Being that my car finished production a week before yours and that it docks in NY tommorrow, yours is probably on US soil already. If you have your name, and IF the vessel chooses to disclose its location (mine is Takasago and it didn't), you can track where the ship is here: http://www.sailwx.info/ Nathan Last edited by Nathan; 05-20-2005 at 07:49 AM.. |

Your car is on the Takasago, too? My wife's X3 that we picked up in Munich (Munich dropoff on 4/29) is on that same vessel. I am hoping beyond hope that we get it before Memorial Day, but it'll probably be the following week. Check out www.aislive.com (have to register, but it's free) and they have near-realtime updates of ship locations near major european and US ports. Takasago hasn't shown up on the New York maps quite yet. -MrB |

Good point on the West Coast! I wasn't sure how they did that.
Yep, my E90 is on Takasago, and its supposed to dock tomorrow sometime. I am expecting to get the car the week after Memorial Day, which should be the week when they announce new rates. I haven't been able to track the ship at all, so since its tomorrow, you can just check the schedules on the W&W site and see if it actually docked on the 21st or not. My hunch is that both our vehicles will be at the Prep Center on Tuesday, and we'll have our cars at our dealers in under 10 days from then. |

Just found out through the tracking system that my car is at the port in Zeebrugge and ships tomorrow the 25th. 9 days on the vessel arriving in NY on June 3. I wonder how long it will take to arrive in Chicago from NY? Very exciting to know it's on it's way tomorrow!!

What color did you get? I went through Patrick, and i live in the city. I was on a project in Schaumburg for 7 months last year and make Patrick my dealer because it was convenient. I may have to switch to Perillo once i pick up my 330i.

Sparkling Graphite. What color did you get?
I live in the city too and actually work near Perillo. I chose Fields based on some great things I had heard about them. |
