29E2 after replacing Hpfp

First time posting in the group have a little issue going on where my car is constantly throwing a 29E2 fuel injector rail pressure code. I’ve already monitored on mhd and my low pressure fuel sensor was reading same as injector rail pressure so I replaced the hpfp and I still have 29E2 code and car stays in limp mode with cel and runs terrible, my rail pressure is still same as low pressure sensor. Any help? Cant be lpfp because it’s reading around 72 meaning it should be good. What else should I check Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Post logs. If LPFP and sensor are okay my guess would be the rail pressure sensor…

Lpfp seems to be good, have replaced hpfp, and rail pressure sensor, could it possibly be lpfp sensor causing it even if it’s reading lpfp?

One of the common failure modes for the LPFP sensor is reading 72psi all the time. If you're going into limp mode while it's doing this, my assumption would be you actually have a bad LPFP and sensor and the sensor is masking the bad LPFP.

When I bought my car it had a bad LPFP sensor that I misdiagnosed as the pump. I read everywhere a bad sensor would read 0psi or basically 72psi all the time. Mine was reading 30-50psi so it appeared like the sensor was working. Car never went into limp or threw a CEL.

Again though, logs would be nice.

Ohhh I see. Rail pressure is locked at 72. Where did you buy your HPFP? and have you confirmed there is no fuel leakage between the pump and fuel rail?
