No grille will fit on a pre LCI E90 with LCI bumper, right?

As of today, still no grille will fit on a pre LCI E90 with LCI bumper, right?
Just wanted to confirm that is still the case.
No, I don't want to invest into a LCI hood.
No, I don't want to cable-tie the grilles.
I might cut the top edge off of the LCI grille if someone else did it successfully and beautifully.

Someone here removed the top of the grill(mustache), bent the edge of the hood down and fitted lci grills.

Just installed the grilles I bought off amazon. See below.
Double eyelids. I like it. Why cut, why cable tie.
