2011 335i misfire cylinder 6

Hi,

I currently have a 2011 335i XDRIVE with the following mods,
PURE STAGE 2 TURBO WITH HIGH FLOW
DINAN COILS
STAGE 2 SPARK PLUGS
PORT INJECTION
MOTIV REFLEX PLUS
UPGRADED LPFP
ETHANOL SENSOR
3.5BAR T MAP
TURBO SMART DIVERTER VALVE
7.5 INTERCOOLER WITH OUTLET AND INLETS
PROPULSIVE DYNAMICS CLUTCH PACK FOR ZF6HP21X
XHP STG 3

I have been dealing with a misfire issue for the past month, my car is custom tuned from Steve at Wedge. When I try to WOT my car starts to hesitate and misfire consistently however recently this isn't just at WOT anymore its start to do this in fifth gear around 2000 to 2500 rpms.
I have recently replaced the EU5 injectors and coded them accordingly.
I have also replace coils and sparks (Dinan coils and one step colder sparks). However I haven't seen any improvement. The HPFP was replaced about a year ago however I haven't been putting that many miles on the car since I blew the transmission and then had to build it myself with the PPD clutch pack kit with sonaxx zip kit and Recommened lifeguard five fluid. I have done all the work on the car myself turbo, transmission, hpfp, injectors, port injection, etc.

I have attached a couple of logs and well provide upgraded and etc.

Transmission runs fine, previously I only had gears 1-4 and now they all work properly.

THESE ARE THE CODES DURING THE RUN

Got a couple codes off the car this happened for cyclinders 2,4,6

2775 - Air volume, plausibility: Air volume too low.
2EEO - Combustion misfires, several cylinders: Fuel injection deactivation.
2EF4 - Combustion misfire, cylinder 6: Fuel injection deactivation.
2EFE - Combustion misfires, several cylinders:
Damaging to catalytic converter or damaging exhaust gas.
2F04 - Combustion misfire, cylinder 6: Damaging to catalytic converter or damaging exhaust gas.
- DME shadow (inactive) codes -
2EF7 Verbrennungsaussetzer: Einspritzabschaltung

06/24/2023 MOST RECENT LOG AFTER INJECTORS WERE REPLACED

https://datazap.me/u/mattbayram/afte...og=0&data=4-19

When I give it throttle I can feel the car starting to choke up. I also can feel the car choking up when I’m in fifth gear around 2000 to 2500 rpm’s as well. I was thinking it could be port injection but it occurs in lower rpm’s as well. I recently got a code for DME active codes -
29D8 - Intake air temperature - charge air temperature, comparison: Intake air temperature too high.
- DME shadow (inactive) codes -
290A - Intake air temperature sensor: Multiple fault.

I cleared it and it occasionally happens again.

This is the errors I got after it misfires during the log

DME active codes -
2EEO - Combustion misfires, several cylinders: Fuel injection deactivation.
2EED - Combustion misfire, cylinder 4: Fuel injection deactivation.
2EF4 - Combustion misfire, cylinder 6: Fuel injection deactivation.
2EFE - Combustion misfires, several cylinders:
Damaging to catalytic converter or damaging exhaust gas.
2F02 - Combustion misfire, cylinder 4: Damaging to catalytic converter or damaging exhaust gas.
2F04 - Combustion misfire, cylinder 6: Damaging to catalytic converter or damaging exhaust gas.
2F7B - Super-knocking, cylinder 6: Injection switch-off.
2F7C - Super-knocking: Injection switch-off.
- DME shadow (inactive) codes -
2EF7 Verbrennungsaussetzer: Einspritzabschaltung

At this point I can't figure out what to do, could this be due to a spliced wired somewhere, LPFP, HPFP issues? Transmission issues?

Can you revert to OEM or a less aggressive tune? How does the misfire relate to the tune in terms of timing? E.g. misfire only after tuning, or misfire before and after tuning? Tuning obviously pushed the engine harder, so I'd explore options that turn the tune down and see how that affects the misfire.

The error codes don't indicate specific sensor or component faults, so I would look for errors that don't depend on sensors or wiring.

How is compression? Consistent on all cylinders?

What are your spark plugs gapped to? Depending on boost levels you should have them gapped between .024 to .022 not the stock gapping. Usually when some thing happens like that the ahkams razor approach works for me.

So just to close out the thread for anyone else having the same issues

I just compression tested the car all cylinders came back around 165. I just replaced my spark plugs again and gapped them to .20 and that seemed to solve the issue, it could be that I had a bad set of new spark plugs I guess.

Thank you to everyone who replied to the thread.
