Just bought me a set of the DNA Motoring Halogen aftermarket headlights to replace my HID Xenon/Adaptive Headlights because I refused to pay 1200 for a new set of xenon headlights.. anyways. I plugged it up, and everything works fine except for my high beams. I have no error codes, and when I hit the stalk the blue high beam light comes up on the dash as if they're on but they're not.
I've been searching everywhere for an answer to my problem, figured I'd finally make my first post here to see if anyone else has had this issue and could help me. |

You update the VO to add halogens and remove Xenons?

No I haven't, I was assuming it was something I was gonna need to have coded. I'll have to take it to my shop and see what they can do.

You ever get this figured out? I'm in the same boat as you and I'm getting 2 different answers all across the board. It's either a coding issue (changing the VO, etc) or some how needing to rewire and repin the headlights.

Kind of the same boat. My son has a 2009 that came originally with adaptive headlights but the previous owner installed some eBay headlights and they look like crap. Don’t want to go the OEM route if we can get headlights like this to work. I’m pretty confident that it is a coding thing but would like to verify.

I changed the VO and remove 522 high beams work.. however the side lights now don't work, and there are the 2 side light bulb warnings on the dash.. i checked the wiring and there is now no voltage going to the wiring for the side lights (was 5v going to pin 1)
if i code in 522 the side lights work (and pin 1 gets the 5v) switch pin 5 and 6 and the high beams work for a very short period before stopping until you restart the car |

What problem are you guys having to want to downgrade from bixenons to halogen lights?
EDIT: I reread original post. I understand no one wants to pay $1200 for a new light assy. I have been able to buy a good used one for $250 from local wrecking yards. Some yards are crazy and want $600 though so shop wisely. Last edited by BB_cuda; 10-29-2021 at 11:27 AM.. |

Hi All,
I am at my wits end with this! I have also swapped xenons to Halogens due to cost. When I first plugged them in I had the following issue: No Main Beam. With all lights off, main beam flash on the inidctaor stalk would activate dipped beam. when dipped beam was on nothing would happen but the blue headlight icon would illuminate in the dash. All other lights okay. There were also no error messages. I used NCS Expert (expertmode) to remove $522 Xenon lights from the VO on CAS and NFRM. (FA Write and GA Coderien) Now I still have no main beam (bulbs checked and definitely work.) the indicator stalk no longer works the dipped beam as main beam and the sidelights have also stopped working. I now have four error codes in INPA, stating that high beam and side lights are not working. Any ideas!? |

Try adding $522 back to VO and manually disable bi-xenon headlights in the FRM.
Option is “bi-xenons installed”, change to disable/not active. That’s how I’ve always done it and it works. Not sure what side lights you’re talking about, turn signals? |
