E92 N43 2A9A crank but no start

Hey chaps, not long picked up a e92 but it has an issue it is cranking over fast to fast compared to some on YouTube I'm hoping it's getting no fuel or it has no compression but let's hope it's fuel.. 2A9A is the only code showing it's turning over fine so that makes me think timing is ok .. anyone have any ideas

Are you sure about that? 2A9A is a camshaft synchronization code, which could indicate a camshaft timing issue.

And what does cranking over fast to fast mean?

It's turning over like it has no fuel in it so faster than normal a bit like if you take the spark plugs out it will turn over faster.. real hope it's not timing the chain feels tight pressing on it via the oil filler port and no nasty noises when it's spinning over ..

I would suggest doing a compression test before anything else.

Well weird one had it all apart today no chain damage the guides all look fine chain is tight couldn't see if the timing was right as it was hard to tell what was tdc and where the cams should be facing .. I'm hoping there is no valve damage . Vanos solioids had a bit of shit in the gauze so cleaned all those out and ordered the chain kit to try lock it tdc
