About to Start the N54 - MHD and scrap JB4?
It is more a FB rage than e90post, but lot of user telling me to go full MHD.
Now I have : MHD BEF with a base file for a single turbo, and I log, and get my boost target with JB4. Pretty easy and cheap. Car got a ST from speedtech, all 4 O2 with spacers. 1) Is it a good idea to -repay an other MHD license and remove JB4? 2) what are the cons to remove JB4? (had no issues on my TT setup). Right now I see the connectivity might be an issue, since JB4 is BT and MDH is wifi. Im using my phone has a hot spot. 3) Where I start with MHD ? Same thing, flash the base ST file and then log on MHD? |

meth kit can be controlled base on a boost target with a simple boost switch.
probably less efficient, and less safe since no fail safe... Since the setup is there , I think Ill follow your advice, and if I ever have issues Ill try MHD only. |

If you run JB4 you are going to want to load their ST back end flash so you want to use MHD to load that AFAIK. I would sell the JB4 personally, but if you like it, keep it.
Most ST run flash only and a reflex or ss controller for PI. JB4 works for PI just fine. I would probably run my meth kit through JB4 if I were you as it has some safeties. Goto the JB4 forums and post there.

simply on ST build I tend to see more and more people having issues, they dont figure why and get rid of jb4. I made most upgrade to avoid issues, like gen3 hpfp, eldor coils, new 0.20 gapped ngk 2 step colder, pcv, carbon clean, all gaskets and 3x index12. Still need to source 3 other index 12, but damn this is almost the price of the drivetrain. |

When you go into options on the MHD app it should give you the single bank fueling option.

I wanted to go OEM with 4x O2 sensor, but if there's no cons going single bank, it would be easier for me. |

Are you running the JB4 and utilizing the free BEF? Or are you going full flash with MHD and using the JB4 as a boost controller? You have to flash the car with MHD either way and under the options it'll give you single bank fueling option.

I've put more money that I should have already. Planning a very conservative tune for now, with the OEM lpfp. |
