Codes bad turbos ?
Sorry new here. So i have 08 335i, i bought it a month ago. I hear wastegate rattle, but the caran fine until yesterday. It threw me bunch of codes, i cleared them drove and then in the morning it threw me Intake Vanos code. I suspect bad turbo( actuator), can you guys point me in the right direction ?

If that were me I’d tow it or gently drive it to a BMW dealership and pay the $200-$250 for a diagnostic. If it’s a turbo that’s your sign for an upgrade and tune.

VANOS Solenoids?
I had 2A82 & 3100 and it was bad VANOS solenoids. Read this service bulletin from BMW and try all those things first, could potentially be cam ledges. $$$
I did not have wastegate rattle, however, that is mechanical and may be fixable with some rod adjustment. |
