Moving FSC Certs over to a new (used) unit?
Hi All,
I have a 2011 335i with CIC nav. The unit has been rebooting itself lately. I’ve tried cloning the original drive (which checked out fine) to a brand new NOS Toshiba MK8050GAC disk, to no affect - same issue occurs. I’ve procured a unit out of a 2015 BMW X1, and now I just need to move over the FSC certs from my car into the new unit. As I understand, what I need to do to the new unit is virginize it and the load in FSC certs using FStool (which I have, version 2.1.8). Ok, simple enough. Thing is, since I have my original CIC still, and it boots and works maybe 90% of the time, I’d like to export and move over my existing FSC certs instead of using FSC Patcher, which as I understand from here https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1649066 will prevent me from ever using the genuine certs again. Has anyone done this, moved over FSC certs from an existing CIC to a new one? My current car has BMW Apps, voice control, nav, and Sirius, and I’ve already activated maps with a lifetime FSC code too. The donor vin has the same options. shawnsheridan - seems like you’re the guru when it comes to this, any help you could provide I would greatly appreciate! Thank you all! Edit: I ended up purchasing an FSC repair pack, now it’s a matter of loading in the certs. Last edited by Hoody007; 02-03-2024 at 10:18 PM.. |
