None taken, I don't expect it to be Shakespeare like I said, much like the original. I just want to have a good time. Check out @0:25

Poor Patrick Swayze; died too young. I like his version of this movie and several others that he did.

RIP

I tend to be a little late watching movies…mostly because I like to watch them in my own home theater vs the movie theaters with everyone checking their phones (yes, old man yelling at the clouds)

I just watched “Prey” last night and thought it was a decent take on the Predator franchise. They spent a little too much time in the beginning on making our protagonist the ‘dumb little girl that wants to hunt’ and not just letting her be herself and showing what she can do without having to be rescued by her brother.

Some of the VFX were a little off (the lion they were hunting and the bear that ended up being gutted by the Predator) but it was a beautifully shot film out in the wilderness.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one and will probably watch it again.

Tend to agree... the bits of "of-the-moment" wokeism in the film were overshadowed by how decent the rest is.

Watched GODZILLA X KONG

For me... EXACTLY what I was hoping for and wanted: "Non-stop Monster Mayhem and Action"!
So I give it a 4.5. Why not 5? It could have been even longer running timefor me.

Zulu.1964 release.
https://www.google.co.uk/search?sca_...,st:0Repelling
Despite wave after wave of thousands of attacking Zulu warriors with each one being repelled a final Zulu assault came with the inevitable outcome, the small British garrison at Rorke's Drift in 1879 strangely had no Gatling guns despite them already being introduced.

Quite random choice, but so far entertaining... I'm just switching Ford for new BMW, I hope I won't start longing for Shelby Mustang

I think this was talked about on the TV Series thread. FTR, we enjoyed it, although it is a bit out there. Clearly left it open for season 2.

I'll check out that thread. I just get excited when there is a descent Sci fi released... as many really suck... Don't know if its due to low budgets or difficult subject matters. Anything over a "C".. I'll give this a B+, and it's a winner for me.

Funny you should ask. Here's the last 2 I recently watched...

https://youtu.be/sU_SQo1wbos?si=Y4UFducMSA4T1fQq

So the first I'd give a 2.5/5

The second a 3/5
