R1 Concept Brake Rotors ? Pads ?
It’s time to do the brakes on my 2011 335i xDrive.
I’ve been looking at what’s out there for this car and am looking to upgrade to drilled slotted rotors. I am leaning towards the R1 Concept eLine series drilled and slotted rotors. Anyone that has experience with this please let me know how they are and if they’re worth it? Getting the set of 4 for $672 Canadian Dollars shipped. Also, Which pads should I go for? Looking for pads that will give me the strongest bite and best braking. Thanks |

I had these installed for my e91 328xi last year and no issues with the performance. However, the pads can be loud (not squeaking but just a loud low hz hum).

I have had the R1 Carbon Alloy Slotted Geomet Rotors for some time now. Great rotors and an even better price. Highly recommend working with Kevin at R1C.
Went with Hawk HPS5.0 pads and it's my favorite combo so far. |

I installed those in the rear and I'm about to do my front yet. Not a lot of experience with them but I mean they work. I also use Akebono pads so I can't really compare with same pads I had.

Have you ever experience shaking at all when braking at high speeds ?
