I don’t know if you guys ever found a solution to your whining. For me it turned out to be a failing pcv valve. I confirmed this by removing the oil cap while the car was running and it would fix the issue meaning there was excess pressure not being released. I’ve heard other people with the same issue have a damaged oil filter housing as well.
