Air bubbles in rain sensor - replacement pad?
![]() I had my windshield replaced many years ago with a Saint Gobain climate comfort windshield and it seems that air bubbles have developed in front of the rain sensor. The rain sensor function has been poor despite multiple re-initializing attempts in INPA, so I suspect I have to do something to eliminate the air bubbles. I understand that our rain sensors are the older "less forgiving" style where the prism has to be adhered to the windshield. What's the best process to fix this now? Is the DIY fix with clear RTV silicone adhesive/sealant the only way: https://www.e46fanatics.com/threads/...nt-fix.615032/ Or do these replacement adhesive pads work as well: https://www.1addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1529291 Last edited by The Nightman; 04-15-2025 at 08:52 PM.. |
