Which do you prefer?
Just wanted to get everyone opinion on which intake they think has better performance output and better sound (not annoyingly loud), the AFE CAI Stage 2 or the new BavarianX INJEN intake? I'm still debating which one to purchase...

well the obvious choice is a Gruppe-M if you've got the $.
Injen is nice but I'm not a fan of short rams. Plus if you decide to use Scoops (Rpi or Swoop scoops) you'll need a fully enclosed intake system to make them work properly... which can be a pretty killer combo. Maybe a used Simota (recently discontinued) or a Gruppe-M immatation. |

The InJen intake is exactly the same design, but made better and R&D'd to make the best power and torque ratings. If you check out our post, you can hear a sound clip and read the reviews of customers that have already purchased. So far, nothing but great feedbacks and it's all a little less inexpensive than the AFE intake.

I saw the Injen intake is on **********s now for the e90. I will most likely be getting it soon - it looks like it will be pretty good.

Ryan, I definitely suggest the Injen EIS System. I had one of the first ones installed on my car, and the video that Bobby is referring to is the one I put together. I was skeptical on the performance gains that were reflected in the tested dyno chart, but, once I got it in, and felt it for myself, I was pretty impressed. There is definitely a noticeable increase in HP and Torque. I didn't notice much, if any difference in the low end rpm's. The thing I was happiest most about was the sound it gives off. Definitely a very nice, aggressive, noticeable growl going on under the hood now, especially once you hit about 4000. Not so loud where it sounds shitty or annoying by any means. In my opinion, I would definitely go with the Injen, as opposed to the AFE. I also have to definitely recommend Bobby and/or Brad at BavarianX. Both of them are great guys, and very helpful with any questions or issues you might have. If you wanna meet up one day to check it out in person, just let me know. Or, maybe if you ever came out on Wednesday's, you can check it out there!!!!!! Hit me up!!!
