It's been a while since I posted a photo of a European castle, but here are some Japanese castles that are very cool.

1) Matsumoto castle
2) Osaka castle
3) Himeji caste with moon behind

Beautiful! As a high school kid, I visited a Japanese castle some 60 years ago and found the interior impressive as well.

This pic just popped up on my Facebook memories.

A year ago my Wife and I were on a rib boat trip around Bodo, Norway and I captured a Sea Eagle chasing a Sea Gull.

In the background there are a couple of Sea Eagle little ones waiting for breakfast.

The actual picture I took is quite a bit clearer

Todays view from the "Office". If you zoom in to the center of the photo you can see a rather large home being constructed. That modest little shack is a mere 37,000 sq/ft. or (3437sq m). Or put another way 85% of an acre, (34% of a hectare)

and on an oceanfront lot to boot. They have been building it for over three years so far and it's still a long way from finished.

Another in the series of photos of castles that I have posted. This one is now unimpressive. Built in the 13th century, Dunluce castle on the Antrim coast in Northern Ireland was perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. Much of the castle collapsed into the sea during a storm in 1639, leaving this behind.

Crater Lake, Oregon, is the deepest lake in the USA. Floating vertically in the lake is "The Old Man of the Lake" -- a 30-foot tree trunk that was first observed over 120 years ago.
