Would this ENET cable work for E-series?

A bit of a long shot here but thought I'd ask anyway. Does anyone here know if this cable would work for an E-series. http://www.ebay.com/itm/121492778135...S:1123&vxp=mtr

I bought it before realizing the title said F-series. Asked the seller and apparently he can't give me a straight answer either.

It'll only work for telnetting/ftp'ing into the CIC, nothing else.

The E-Series doesn't have Ethernet except for the CIC. The F-Series has full Ethernet communication to the vehicle via the ZGW.

It's useless for trying to code your car or update software on an E-Series.

Ok I see, I'll have to return that one when it arrives then. What would be the equivalent cable for E-series? My car's setup is CIC.

You'd need a K+DCAN cable for coding a 3-series.

Thanks again for the help Dracon.

Edit: I do have one more question, what software is needed for coding the K+DCAN cable? If there's more than one what would be the top few that are mainly used?

BMW Standard Tools 2.12 (NCS Expert, INPA, WinKFP and Tool32). You will also need the DATENs, v53 and higher should suffice.
