KIDNEY GRILLS

I have a 2007 335xi sport package with aftermarket kidney grills that have something on them and I have no idea what they could be(you have to zoom in to really see them well, I’m going to try to get a better picture later). I also have a switch right below the cigarette lighter and I was wondering if they were connected, and if their not connected, what is the switch? Thanks
