Replace '08 side mirrors for '09 or later?

Hi there. Wondering if anyone has replaced their side mirrors on an '08 (or earlier) E90 for larger ones in '09 or later? I have a '08 335xi and find the blind spots to be a little too big. Wondering if easy to swap in a larger mirror (more rectangular) from an '09 or later model E90. Thanks in advance!

yes plug and play.

imo the pre-lci look more sportier, but indeed, smaller view area.

I got some cheap blind spot mirrors for $10 from Amazon, and they're a godsend.

You could also get the European wide angle mirror glass for both sides. Huge improvement, but if you have the Premium package with both heating and auto-dimming, STUPID expensive. Which is why I never did it on my 328! wagon. But I have on many of my cars over the years. For cars with just heating, they are quite cheap.

I'd actually like to go the other way and put the smaller mirrors with the wide-angle glass on my 128i. The big mirrors on those look like elephant ears in a way that they don't on the 3-series. I'm too lazy to ever actually do it.

Yeah, look better but I live in NYC area with a lot of traffic so need more coverage of blind spots unfort

I'd recommend used ones on eBay over Amazon offerings.
Not just for mirrors, but pretty much anything.

+1 for the euro mirrors. I got a driver's side one on German eBay for $70, not bad for a huge quality of life improvement. Cheaper than LCI mirrors, and less work.
