new E92 335i msport with DCT

Hi all,

this week I will order a new 335i coupe msport with dct. I have done two test drives, first with a 335i coupe and second with a 135i. The 335i was a bit older and had probably the old pre 29.2 software. The pedal reaction was much better. As far as I know(have read) bmw admitted that it has something to do with the wastegate actuators which they want to solve with the new software update. As I understand correctly this problem is more likely to be a hardware problem then a software problem. Will my car still be delivered with the same actuators?

thanks!

Just goes to show how good we have it in the States. People have no idea how expensive things are in other countries.

Wonder why BMW didn't use a DCT shift knob in the 335i more similar to the M3's DCT shift knob (not identical, just more similar). This one looks like it's made for people with really bad eyesight.

I do like that trim, though...wish it were available on US builds...

its the same dct knob as the 5 series sedans have... there is a difference between dct and smg i believe.

The non-M 5-series has manual and Steptronic transmission options, not DCT. The M5 has an SMG option, but that's not quite the same as DCT. In any event, that shift lever is fugly.
