Handset Phone Bars and BT System Phone Bars Not Correlated
So I've looked at the bars on my phone and the bars on my non-idrive bluetooth phone system and they're not the same...or even close. What's up with that? This is while the phone is paired and connected, btw.
What is the system reporting as opposed to the phone? Is that the reception I would have if I had a nifty snap-in adapter? Or is it just gobbledegook that means nothing? Placebo-bars? 2006 e90 330i w/premium package (+sport +mt6 +ca, but they're not relevant) |

We've gone over this before, but I'll summarize.
The signal strength displayed on the car (MID or iDrive) is what the phone tells the car when the car asks. If it's wrong, it's because your phone is returning a bad response to the query. |
