Shadowline Trim on e93 !convertible!

Hey Guys,

I´m currently trying to give my e93 a cleaner look by fully blacking it out.

Do you have any experience with getting black trims? Is there even a market for them? I keep seeing e92s, but not a single kit for the convertible.

Should i just wrap my current trims? and if so, should i take them off the car first?

I greatly appreciate opinions and experiences.
I´ll attach a picture of my current bmw and my blackout inspiration.

Greetings from Germany!

I recently had the trims on my white e92 wrapped in black vinyl by the same place that tinted my windows. I only removed my mirrors so they could more easily wrap the trim that is under the mirrors. It wasn't cheap, but I was pleased with the result. I had my trims wrapped in a glossy vinyl rather than flat black vinyl. Again, I was pleased with the result.

The shadowline trim for E93 was not available in US. If you want to update it now, it’ll cost you around $2k in parts imported from Europe. No aftermarket options. I wrapped mine myself with 3M soft black gloss. In the process, iI removed the mirrors and the rear peace on top of the trunk.

I used the 3M satin black and wrapped the roof trim, looks great and so far after two years it looks as good as the day I installed it.

I haven't gotten to the part along the doors and around the base of the rear window yet, that's still faded chrome. Just haven't had the time to do it yet, and it's not really noticeable on a Space Gray car, but would definitely stand out and look bad on a darker color.

Speaking of color, I absolutely love the color combos of both of your E93s posted above, so much less boring than mine.
