My cars production date is 2010/09 with CIC high and Combox from factory.

Currently following version is installed:
Multimedia: MX-002.005.025
Telephone: TX-002.006.006

I tried to update the combox using the 1006 and 1008 .bin files. Everytime I get the info that the software is up to date. I also changed cars date to 2023/01.

USB sticks where formatted with FAT32 and GPT.

CIC Headunit was replaced a few years ago and the production date is 2011/06. According to INPA headunit has the firmware C1A and the combox(media module) has C04.

Is there any way to update combox?

The .bin files only update the Bluetooth tables not the actual firmware in the modules.

Your car already has c1A which is the last revision for those years. C1A is normally installed via an iLevel (integration level) upgrade of the car, which is completely different.

How is it that the Combox has a different revision number? Was it added later?

If so there are tools that can be used to upgrade it, but this must be done carefully with the proper equipment.

Does the VO reflect the presence of the Combox?

I know that the .bin files only update the bluetooth table. Sometimes I'm getting crackling sound when I'm playing music with bluetooth.

Combox was not added later, I had this from factory on. Only the head unit was replaced couple years ago but not from the dealership therefore it has the C1A. Does it makes sense to upgrade the Combox to the latest revision number?

I just have playlist issue when I connect my iPhone (iOS 26) via USB to the car using apple music. So basically when I select a song from a playlist the CIC repositions the cursor to the top of the list even though the selected track is playing. This behavior happens most of the time. With iOS 17.5.1 it's way better.

For North American Combox, I have never seen one that had an available update via WINKFP. Even so, if an update was available, it would have to be delivered via an ICOM device over the MOST fiber.

The USB delivered update is only for bluetooth connections. I don't think that would affect playlists. Combox was designed to work with an iPod. I am not surprised things are odd with the newest iPhones.

I updated the combox a few days ago using the 1008 .bin files, my combox has the firmware C05.
Try setting the date 01/2024.
After the update, I now have the version:

Multimedia: MX-003.005.004
Telephone: TX-003.005.008
