Need Help W/ Manhattan & Route Planning
ok so i need to go to manhattan tommorow (i hate driving there) and i took the ferry before to go to the NY auto show and really liked it. so i decided im going to take a different route and take the ferry to my destination.
i looked on mapquest and google maps but for some reason one of the addresses isn't registering. i tried to revise the address by changing the abbreviations, etc but nothing. anyhow i am going on the ferry at port imperial and arriving at midtown west 39th street. my destination is 33 west end ave. i know how to get there by car (navigation) but since it's a major pita for me i want to try to take the ferry. on the ny ferry site it says the address of the port is West 39th Street and 12th avenue. so my question is once i arrive at the terminal how far is the walk or the cab ride ($)? the concpet of ave and street is there but im really a city noob,

Looks like 33 West End Ave is around 61st street, so although you would be on the right side (West as opposed to East), 39th to 61st is a pretty long walk - probably just makes sense to zip up there in a cab. 20 blocks in a cab should be pretty cheap

There are free ferry buses with routes to various parts of the city. Just go to the website and figure out which one goes to where you need to go.

without traffic nor hitting all the red lights, it should be no more than 10 bucks. just dont let the driver drive you through time square. since you're one the west side already, i'd try to take the blue line to 59th st and walk to your destination.
