Comfort Access: Can it be dealer installed?
I placed my order on 8/18. According to all the regular sources, the car was going to be produced in September. I tried and failed to get the dealer to add Comfort Access (told car was in production 8/25). So, I'm wondering if anyone knows if it if can be added at the dealer or elsewhere for a reasonable price. (I say reasonable because I tried to add the rear parking sensors to my E46 and they wanted more than 700 bucks!
Thanks.

I also got the car(already built and shipped out) before I realized
the comfort access option. I wanted it, so I asked the dealership, and they said its either built with it, or it can't be done. Whole different wiring process(thats what they told me) so its nearly impossible to do it once they already built the car. I suggest you call immediately and ask for it.

Nope, factory option only, because they have to tear down the interior to add wiring, sensors..etc. Also replace door panels..(sensors)

I would think , "keyless access' installed by the dealer would lose its original purpose of security as the master code would be disclosed to parties other than BMW. BMW should be the only party can key in the master code, and they are 'trusted. The process of setting the security access should be of highest confidentiality; I am doubt it serves the same security purpose if any dealers or some repair shop can do it.
