How much did you pay for your 335i?

I want to get one soon and was wondering what price you managed to get?

Used or demo but with low km's ie <10,000km. I'm in Australia anyhow mate - if I were over there, I could buy two 335i's for the price of one here.

bump.

C'mon there's a lot of 335i owners here. You don't have to give prices, just % discounted off the stickered price would help out.

If i were to go into a dealer now i would push for a $15000 (most likely get it) discount. I got 6k off (plus extras) my car when the 335's were in demand so 15k is only right with the economy going to the pits soon.

thanks, I agree 10-15% would be a good starting point.

I wonder what the margin is on these things. I know VW is extremely high.

$115K drive away.

335 E90, sports sus, seats, roof, met paint, logic 7 and some other crap I cannot remember.

But there was an article in todays SMH, lots of luxo cars that have been repossessed are available at auction at the moment.

$122k + stamp duty. January 07 they weren't keen on doing deals then. Very much in demand at the time, no finance.

As WOLPAX said, lots of repo's going on. Plenty of deals out there to be had by BMW, Merc, Audi etc as none of them are moving vehicles and haven't been since about August.

Does motorline compete with bris bmw and have access to the same vehicles, or are they the same?

When i was at brisbane bmw at the valley i was looking at pre owned 335's and was talking to the salesman and never mentioned about new ones didn't seem interested took my name and number still haven't heard from them.
There loss, my gain went to motorline at daisy hill and ended up buying a brand new 335 coupe for the same prices as preowned ones at bris.bwm.
Thankyou again motorline bmw.

Hi Guys,

New here and noticed the wealth of knowledge

Couple of questions that perhaps a seasoned BMW enthusiast may be able to help with. I'm interested in leasing a preowned 2007 / 2008 335i Convertible here in Sydney through my business and was wondering about the following:

1) Having never leased a vehicle before, the salesman at the Dealership gave me and option of a 4/40 and 5/30. What other lease options are available or of a more attractive arrangement?

2) As I am leasing, is there still room to move off the window price of the vehicle?

3) Is it more cost effective purchasing the car interstate and bringing it to Sydney?

As this is my first lease and on a vehicle that has been my goal for some time, any other tips / recommendations / info would be appreciated.

Thanks Guys!

1- You can choose any size balloon you wish, however the ones suggested by your dealer are benchmark ones and relatively prudent, as you don't want the car to be worth less than the balloon payment at the end of the lease.

2- Yes there is always room to move off the window price of the vehicle. HOWEVER do not get sucked in by a couple of dollars discount off the sticker, you need to work the dealer for the price and INTEREST RATE on the lease. They will move and a 25-75bps discount on the interest rate will be much more valuable to you over the life of the lease than a simple 2k discount off the price of the car. Take a financial calculator with you and do the maths to make sure what the rate is they're charging you. Best path to take is to demand a discount on both.

3- Probably not, there is some very nicely priced demo & pre-owned 335i's out there at the moment. The time, effort and expense on getting an interstate vehicle is probably not worth it. Unless your someone who spends a substantial amount of time across different states.

As for other tips, go to at least 3 other dealers and see what they'll do for you, nothing better than a little competition. Good Luck.

As //MPOWER said, leasing terms and residuals do have some flexibility. Do you really want to lease? Is this the advice from an accountant? Have you checked out Chattel Mortgages?

Like the man said, there is more than enough stock and choice in Sydney. It's a good idea to check the car over with your own eyes, have a drive of it. The near-new demos/executive fleet are not all as well loved as you might like.

I also think it is definitely worth shopping around for finance - I found CBA to be extremely competitive recently whereas BMW finance were hamstrung with rates 2% higher. Things are rapidly changing, but you may still find a better deal if you arrange your own funds.

Also don't forget to check whether payments are in advance arrears and whether there are 48 + one final or 47 + a balloon.
