Picked up my 330xi!
Hello all, I just picked up my 330xi from the dealer yesterday and I can't say that I could be any more pleased with the purchase! I find it phenomenal that BMW can engineer something so good and bundle it together into something so attractive. Anyhow, here are some photos I took on my driveway today... I realize that they are less than ideal but sometime next week I'll have to find someplace nice to take more under better lighting conditions.
It's alpine white on lemon with aluminum trim, all the Canadian options are equipped less active cruise control and satellite radio which are not offered here. Actually I wanted wood and scheduled a time to have it swapped at the dealership next week, but after seeing and driving it with aluminum for 2 days and 1 night I'm pretty convinced that I want to keep it the way it is now. I'm shocked that I've managed to sit myself down long enough to compose this too...I think I should be out finding places to drive to!

The AW 330xi looks great but I don't like the aluminum myself.

Very nice. Haven't seen the AW-lemon combo often. Looks good, but personally I think you would be better swapping out that alu trim in favour of the wood, as you originally intended. The alu-lemon-white mix makes the whole thing just a bit too pale & bland, IMHO Still a great car, though - congrats.

I almost went beige w/ aluminum, but at the last second, called it off. I wish they'd trust us Yanks with lemon. That's "off the heezie", as the kids say.

Thanks for all the positive comments everyone! I really appreciate it Now after having the car for another night and day I think I will end up keeping the aluminum trim. When driving at night especially I find the dash really needs the bright strip running across the middle to break up and contrast the totally black dash and carpet. Also when sitting inside, the aluminum is a nice complement to the grey headliner (which I forgot to take a photo of unfortunately...) However I remember reading before that this trim has the possibility of being dented, is this true? If so, does it only take a briefcase to bump into the dash to leave a dent? Thanks. Either way I think I'll be keeping it, I'm just wondering how careful I should be and/or if it's necessary to tell my front passenger to be gentle around the trim.

Thanks Ska, they're 17x8" BBS rims with Continental ContiExtremeContact 235/45/17 tires. With a 6.9L V8 pushing power to the rear wheels, the original 215/70/14 tires on 14x6.5" rims were pretty sad I bought the package from TireRack, can't remember which model the rims are though... with BBS they all sound so similar. (Edit: They're BBS RX rims)
I typically use it as my summer car and store it for 5 months over the winter, but with my new toy I think it's safe to say it'll be driven a little less than usual this year I've attached some photos incase anyone is interested in a better look, I had the interior totally custom made over the course of 6 weeks about 2 years ago.
