Tyre Pressures
Right guys/gals,
Silly question... but heard some random advice from a garage just a few days ago. I'm currently running: Front: R19/35/235 - Pirelli P-Zero Nero Rear: R19/30/265 - Pirellia P-Nero Zero Now I've always assumed the correct typre pressure was 32 PSi. But the other day some random garage was telling me I should be running them at 38 PSi. That sounds awfully high........ any comment? |

I am not so sure about 19", but I am running my 18" at 40 PSI (280 kPa).

I have 19" 235/30 front and 255/30 Rear. Tyre pressure varies depending on temp/season... I run mine at 35PSI front, 33PSI Rear
In general tires lose 1-2 PSI per month in hot weather, you might want to add a +1PSI to your current setup than. |

think manufacturer usually quote cold psi numbers, if you want to be clinical abut this, get a pressure gauge and a pump. you might want to consider nitrogen as well.

2.7 bar is 39psi....
i guess it's a recommendation for very smooth roads and highway? i dun think it's acceptable for rough roads like hk! |

umm, after how bmw brag about their 50-50 weight ratio, they recommend different tyre pressures front and rear (also for 225/45 size)??

I run 33 and 35 psi on my 19" 235/35 and 275/30 Mich PS2s (measured cold). But then I prefer a slightly heavier steering. The nose gets considerably lighter as you go from 32 to 34-35.
I used to run 32 all around to make the ride more comfy for the HK Island roads. But I went for the better handling after a while, comfort be damned |

Okies,
After bouncing round a few garages and asking numerous mechanics... it turns out the general consensus is the settings I'm running: 36 PSi (Front) & 38 PSi (Rear). You can tweak it +/- 2 PSi either way depending on your preference for handling. |
