I like it, it just happened to come with the car (used) so no choice. I have kids too so while leather cleans mroe easily it gets hots, can rip, scartch, etc so non-leather was my choice... and the cloth/Alcantara combo is spot on.

Alcantara has always been my choice (E46, E90, E92)
It's warmer in the winter and doesn't sweat in the summer. Never once got a problem about it when trading in, I think I-drive is a bigger concern if you want good trade-in value. And it looks like new after 4y of heavy use.

Out of the BMWs I have had I don't suppose it was bad just quickly worn and none of them had mega mileage the one that had the most mileage was my 5 series (100,000) that had a cloth interior that looked like it hadn't been sat in!

Definitely has to be the alcantara, helped me sell my car in 48 hours, all 3 of the callers commented that they wanted it...
