Check it out!
Go to the BMW UK site, and try and build a 335 coupe for instance! They even get the M sport package over there with super nice wheel choices! I'm sure the M sport package comes with LSD as well, as it did with the E46 330ci with M sport package here in North America http://www.bmw.co.uk/ P.S. Can someone please tell me why all the E92 3 series that I've seen here in Canada has beige rooflines!!! Haven't noticed it last time I was in the USA but maybe it's the case south of the border as well!!! |

Because BMW thinks there is no market for it.
We now have the M package here in the US as well by the way. |

Couldn't you of been any more nice about it? I mean, that was straight to the point.

I think the logic is that Americans would not be inclined to pay the price premium for the DCT in a 3-series, which is viewed as an entry-level luxury car. Plus, there's no pressure to do this as the competition doesn't have anything like the DCT on cars in the same class... yet. |

Nice and me aren't great friends. It's probably because I fucked his wife.

Maybe that's why BMW won't bring over the DCT. We F*cked with Mr. Nice. BMW is known to have a great relationship will nice people. Us Americans just aren't nice enough.

OP, if you don't mind me asking, why do you care? You're ordering an M3. All this 335 stuff should be below you.

No LSD in UK (unless you visit Kevin Bird...), and we (USA) finally got Horton to convince AG that we deserve M-sport. A little patience may see the DCT here in the fall. Problem is, USA dealers are convinced that Americans think BMWs are rich people's luxury cars and should have automatic trannys.
So all is well and good in the world.

Why does everyone want another gear? Yeah yeah you'll get better gas mileage on the highway but if I'm going to pass someone I don't want to downshift 2 or 3 times to get the gear I want. And seriously whats next and 8 speed? Give me my MT and I'm good.

They should at least make it an option, but im glad it isnt standard. So many people would not appreciate the technology and its a good way to save money.
