So I'm getting my 328xi at the PCD in SC and I was interested in the IPod integration. I gave my sales person a call and they said they could do it down there. I wasnt able to get a price yet, so I was wondering if any knew what they charge to have it done there, is it the same kind of cost I could expect at my dealer or is it more or less

When I was ordering my car I considered getting a CD changer. I was told by a couple of different CA's that BMW accessories have an 18% discount (off MSRP) and a lower hourly labor rate when installed at the Performance Center.

I was quoted $665.86 for an iPod integration kit and an alarm system w/ labor, installed at the Performance Center on my e90 335i.

That is a very reasonable quote. You should inquire if they will discount that amount for BWMCCA (if you are a member - and you SHOULD be).

I had both of those items added to my car after delivery. I bought and installed my alarm myself and paid the dealer for activation. The dealer sold me the iPod adapter at a BMWCCA discount and I paid 1.5 hours for the coding. Total of both items out the door was $720.

Yeah, I should ask for the discount. To be honest, I kind of felt like I was getting away with something because of all the higher quotes I've seen here. I was worried my CA might realize he made a mistake or something if I asked him to go back to check into a discount!

I did sign up for BMWCCA, though. I can't wait to get my Roundel mag. And I >REALLY< can't wait to go to a driving event.
