OCTOBER BAY AREA / NORCAL MEET - COME SIGN UP!
Date: Saturday, November 5th
Time: 1pm Location: Berkely Marina Plan: Meet up and take a short drive to Redwood Road/Skyline Blvd. for some pics and drive some twisty roads. Grab some grub and call it a day. Meeting Place: The Berkeley Marina is located off of the University Ave Exit in Berkeley. Drive down towards Hs Lordships resturant. Before you arrive you will drive pass the shorefront on your rightside. This is where we should meet up. Drive until you start seeing some e90's parked. Nice scenic back-drop with San Francisco and the Bay Bridge. Nice place for some phots so bring your cameras. Here is a map of Hs Lordships: Here is a more detailed map of the area. IGNORE THE RED PLUS SIGN ON THIS MAP AND REFER TO THE RED STAR IN THE ABOVE MAP. Let me know what you guys think and we can adjust the above plans accordingly. I am definitely game, but I don't take delivery until mid-October. If you guys can wait that long, I'll be there. Otherwise I'll have to setup a Spring meet...

I'd be down! Depend on when we had it though... my car is scheduled to arrive in port on the 15th, so I should have her by the end of the month.

suggestion... lets drive down skyline blvd and can take some smaller, more curvy routes off that road, it will be fun. I drove down Kings Mountain Road a month ago by myself, and then went again last weekend with a friend checking out more routes. At one point I was trying to chase down this C5 vette going about 80 on those bendy roads, but couldn't keep up. After 3 turns he was gone. Then I saw a brand new red 911, and then a blue F430, never saw one in blue.

Hey All! Timzerofive's suggestion of Skyline Blvd. is a good drive with some places to stop and take pictures. We could meet up and do that, grab lunch somewhere and chill. This type of meet is alot easier than a BBQ in that we don't need everyone to bring some food, nor do we need a BBQ spot. Any Thoughts?
Any other suggestions as to other local spots would be appreciated! Things we need to arrange: Date: Saturday or Sunday Dates in September or October? Time: 11:00am? Place: Oakland, Berkeley Marina, Treasure Island? Food: Eat out or bring food to BBQ? Equiptment: Camera's(who's got them?) and two-way radios I think that's pretty much it for now. The only *rule* I would like to see is that nobody does anything to get negative attention from anyone else, like the police. If we go for a drive, I'm not racing around turns, etc...have fun without being reckless! Danny BTW, those with screen names, could you post your real first name, thanks!

It am fine with any location you listed. Btw, I can bring lots of Chinese Pearl Milk tea to the meet since I work at a Pearl Tea shop in Mountain View.

How about the weekend of Oct 21? Thats when I expect to take delivery...I'll understand if y'all go ahead without me, maybe I can roll up in my Honda Accord and get a preview of what's to come.
Santa Cruz & the PCH stretch going up to Half Moon Bay is a beautiful, scenic drive -- worth thinking about. First name is Sang. |
