Mud Flaps on 2007 335i sedan
I'm looking at getting mudflaps for the 2007 335i sedan.
My parts dept saying that the fronts are available (same as 2006 model year) but BMW does not list any rear mud flaps for 2007. Has anyone installed on 2007 E90? Will the 2006 330i part fit? Thanks in advance

Well I looked at the 2006 E90 mud flap installation and the exhaust side was a tad more complicated do to a bracket.
Seeing that the 2007 E90 has a different (dual-sided) exhaust, it may be possible that the rear mud flaps are different. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...59&postcount=2 Quote:

I have looked it up and it says the rear ones are NOT to be sold for the 335i.
I believe it has to do with the mounting hardware by the exhausts, as mentioned by someone above. They will probably release a 335i version in the near future You could remind me early December to check if there are new ones in the December parts update

Thanks E90Fleet, you're always great help.
Actual the reason I started looking into mud flaps is because in this winter driving with melting crap and dirt, I get tons of mud thrown onto the: a) sides of the car. This can be solved by front flaps. (I think?) b) rear of the car: license plate area and the whole back and bumper. Any idea why that is happening? Is it possible that the rear wheels throwing mud under the trunk to curve up onto the trunk cover/license area? Quote:

My 335 coupe has mud all over it right now, lots of mud flying, but then again I'm driving around on solid ice/snow/slush with summer tires so theres a lot of tire spinning!!! Winters go on next week once the dealership has a spot, till then its driving the civic on bad days!
You'd actually be suprised how competent this car is on ice with summers, I though I'd be dead but with DTC on you can get going from a start still. (note: I was just testing it out in our icy parking lots, not driving around the roads...I'm not that crazy!)

If you looked at our car in a wind tunnel with smoke, you'd see how the smoke rolls off the top and bottom of our cars in the back.

These are always a trade off - asthetically speaking. I always install them on my cars. I would rather have the flaps than rock chips.

I don't think I've seen mudflaps on an E90, but if they are OEM I guess they will at least blend in a bit.
But when I first read this thread, this is what first came to mind:

I am seriouslly thinking about putting these on my car after just starting the Fall season, there is SO MUCH leaf debris on my rocker panel and even half way up the front doors.
Does anyone think it would look stupid to just put the fronts on? Anyone have pictures of their car with just the front mud flaps? Thanks.

I have front OEMs only - they're very nicely made, good quality plastic and perfectly moulded to fit the panels. They do a good job of protecting the doors & sills from spray and are hardly visible, but I probably wouldn't have put them on had my car not been black.

thanks, great info. You wouldnt happen to have any bigger pics that show how it looks. JetBlack here, again only reason I'm considering them.
