I didn't like the the way the car handled. For me it felt like it had too much power and unless you are a good driver i felt it was uncontrollable.
It was ridiculously fast in a straight line but utter shite round the bends.
The best thing about it and the thing i miss the most was the sound it made.

Hi Amar, I know what you mean about the AMG V8 sound! Shame your C class didn't handle well, the CLK55 seems to be ok going round corners.

went from one pile of shite to another! Ended up with sales rep's cast offs Left to set up my own business so I can choose my own bloody cars

T-sport was ACE! My first ever brand new car and I loved it. Drove it like I stole it from day one. Only downside was the brakes. If you stood on em at 3 figure mph's you could cook 'em and warp the discs. Had three sets of discs in 2 years fitted under warranty - also thrashed it that much, it was using a litre of oil a week and had to have a new engine fitted!

6000RPM + it screamed! A great car for racing Civic Type R's in as they are so alike in their power delivery

Yep, TL1000S was the one they stuck a way too restrictive steering damper on and the rotary rear damper. I swapped the steering for a variable type and the rear for a conventional Ohlins unit... Remus race cans sounded the dogs too

Like this one....

My fave bike I've ridden or owned... if I could find a good one (they are now bl00dy old, like me) I'd snap it up as a weekend toy

On average around 1-2 yrs although last 4 were within a year. I usually only do 2-3000km/year on any of em but am hangin on to my current 335 for the long haul I think/hope...if I can spring for an M3/used M5/M6 and still keep it. (if i add add company cars then approx every 3 months/4000km)

Had many company cars that was swapped in for new one's each year so went through plenty of years without my own car, but in summary:

Started with scooters and cross bikes...
Escort RS Turbo
Audi 80 Cabrio
BMW 320d (company car) x 5
Ducati 749
BMW Mini cooper
Kawazaki zx6r
Range rover sport S/C
One year with mix of 120d/X3 20d
BMW 520d (company car)
BMW 335i

Still think the 320d was a great car for everyday use though, all the ones I had never broke down or had any issues at all.

Here is my list for the last 13 years. Some good, some not as good...

1. Citroen BX GTi - age 17, mums car, on her insurance. Lovely!

2. Citroen XM 2.0SEi Automatic - as above and also....lovely!

3. Citroen Saxo 1.5D VSX NEW - age 18, my first car with 1 years free insurance. Was cheaper to buy the car on a balloon payment scheme and get the years free insurance than to insure my own car. This car did 65mpg despite the fact that I drove it flat out everywhere just to get somewhere!

4. Citroen Saxo 1.4i VSX NEW - age 19. Bought after the free insurance ran out on the first Saxo and wanted some more power. I got the power and another years free insurance

5. Citroen Saxo VTS NEW - age 19 still, FFS the 1.4 didn't have enough power so I got the ultimate specimen! I was, frankly, dangerous in this car.

That was the end of the Citroen's - all 3 new Saxo's were bought by me whilst at uni and working part time such were the deals to be had on them and the ease of getting them on cheap finance with free insurance...including the VTS!

6. Toyota Celica VVTi 140 NEW - age 21....my first car after getting a proper job and as these had only just come out they looked fantastic. It was crap though...the VTS would have mullered it anywhere and I crashed it and lost my NCB! Fack!

7. Ford Focus 2.0 Zetec NEW - age 22...much better than the Celica to drive but f*cking boring so it only lasted 7 months.

Now it gets better....

8. Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo USED - age 23. To me this was fast as f*ck. Had a 5 speed gearbox but couldn't afford the newer 6 speed ones.

9. Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo Plus USED - age 23. I could afford one now so bought one of the best and last Fiat Coupe's ever made. I kept this car for 14 months and is to this day the longest time I have ever owned one car. I still like these...individual style and a great warbling 5-pot engine!

10. Alfa Romeo 147 GTA NEW - age 24. When these first came out they were the fastest FWD drive car ever, they were lush lush lush inside and it looked fab. It went wrong so many times I got a replacement car....

11. Alfa 155 (Widebody) 1.8 Twin Spark ANCIENT - age 24. Bought to use whilst I waited for the replacement GTA

12. Alfa 146 2.0 Ti USED - Age 24....replaced the above as I couldn't live with the 155's build quality after just 3 weeks.

13. Alfa Romeo 147 GTA NEW - age 25. The replacement for the first one.

14. Alfa 156 2.4 20v JTD USED - age 26. a change of 'circumstance' meant I needed a cheaper to run car. This was actually quite good and remapped to 200bhp was pretty quick. Shite suspension though....the engine weight meant it bottomed out all the time and on one occasion I ripped the sump right of on a bridge!

15. Alfa Romeo 147 GTA USED - age 27.....yep, my 3rd one straight after my circumstances changed again!

Now it gets better again....

16. BMW 335i NEW - age 28... awesome car and still probably the best 'buy' of all my cars except the M6.

17. BMW M3 V8 NEW - age 29... well, you all know about this one.

18. BMW M6 USED - age 30.... a bloody bargain...place your bets on how long this one will last!

Thank you for reading
