Fuel pump died at 2706 miles :/
my SA said "no the 09s have the HPFP issue fixed don't worry"
guess he forgot to mention thats only for after march 09 build dates 2706 miles... fuel pump failure...great... I'm also suppose to get a new tranny.... all at under 3k miles!!!! My car's going to be at the dealer i bought it at (not the one near my house) they seem to know more and also treat me better. great :/ and I was going to actually install my STETT CAI and PROcede sometime this week... Guess I'll wait until August |

Tough luck, buddy. Mine's only at 6K miles and I hope HPFP doesn't fail me as well... I haven't done much research into the HPFP either. *sigh* I would just hate it if HPFP failed and I needed to revert back to stock to return to dealership.

i was going to head to my gf's today (which is about 30 miles away versus my home which is only 10 miles away from work) glad i decided not to at first it was just the CEL that was on on my way home the whole "engine malfucntion, reduced power" etc and the car drop weird... i mean, if i got stuck, I'd just call BMW assist but it's still a burn my dad is like "you pay 60k for a car and this happens" "we only pay X amount for the Caddy and nothing has really happened" i didnt have a response to him |

I tell people high performance means high maintenance... it is not a simple car to get from point A to point B. It has very high tech parts and components that are more likely to fail. That plus I drive my car/s pretty hard!
Not that I personally believe all that, but it does keep them impressed and off the hater-wagon. |

HAHAHA. The caddy commend nearly made me lol. I was actually thinking it may be more beneficial to have my HPFP die on me early too. I drive the 335i kind of hard already, so maybe I should just ride the crap out of it and try to get my HPFP replaced before installing anything. :P
