As a side note, I am always surprised when people get so nit picky about a few hundred dollars when they are purchasing a $45-50K car. |

you pretty much have to include the price of a BT cable when talking about JB prices. If you are running JB3 without a BT cable you might as well just leave it in when you go to the dealer. True you could run map 1 or 2 or something, but if you think somebody buys a JB3 and NEVER exceeds map 2 then you get to buy the good ole' oceanfront property in Arizona.

The tuner codes are just so rare that you might not get to clear any. Most people I know have just been enjoying their cars and tunes for the last years without even knowing about BT tool. In fact I don't know anyone who would have triggered the code, denied warranty and ended up paying huge repair costs. I would buy it for analyzing what's going on in the engine and understanding what are the effects of different mods and help to understand how to maximize the performance. I know, the most don't have the time and enthusiasm to play with it, so the analysis would not be the reason to buy it for the most. |

UPDATE:
So after putting on about 200 miles of driving this weekend in temps ranging from the 90's down to the 50's I can say I really love this tune, but would be curious to drive my car side by side to a PROcede/JB3 car to see if the smoothness and improvement power delivery is a placebo effect. I can confirm Mr 5's comments on how the car just maintains boost after upshifts. The car just FEEL faster. One thing I noticed about POST GIAC flash is that I feel that is actually smoother than stock, especially in 1st gear in traffic, when you accelerate then lift off the throttle, while stock, sometimes the car would jerk a couple times before settling in, now it's completely smooth. I am truely loving how smooth and predictable the car performs. GIAC has a true gem with this tune and just makes our cars more exciting. |

We actually turn that code off in our program. I still think it is a good thing, for anyone to have a BT tool to check the state of their car from time to time. |
