Since staggered...rotate <----- to ---->??

Would it help me to dismount the tires from the rims and have the tires placed on the other side? IE right front is now left front, but dismounted from the rim so that way it rotates right? I dont have run flats on the car either, but they are directional UHP tires. Have about 6k on them at the moment, or should I just probably wait and have it done when I get my winter rims put on? Thanks.

You can't rotate them, but yes you can dismount and re-install on the across wheel.

he's talking about swapping tires on the rims, not rotating. In that case, yes, that is really the only thing you can do to even out tire wear on staggered directional tires (if you are wearing the outsides). how much uneven wear are you getting though? if it isn't much, I probably wouldn't bother.

yeah that is the only thing that will work, but take into acct the price to swap the tires back and forth onto the rims then balance and mount, vs letting them go and buy new tires once they are shot

make sure your tires are not asymmetrical. Some UHP tires have an inside and outside, and in that case you can not rotate in anyway.

Thanks, I will take a look on the asymettrical front. I think they are wearing pretty good but I want to keep it that way as well. Thanks again.
