Creaking Windows
Hey all,
So I am having a problem with my windows. For about a year they creak when ever I start from a stop in first or enter a driveway. It seriously sounds like an old, old wooden ship. It drives me nuts. I had the dealer check it out last year and they attributed it to "aftermarket window tint rubbing against window seals when body is flexing." which I thought was a cop out. However, I think this actually might be it. Is this plausible? I have been trying to find a solution for the past years, I notice that when I roll the windows down it goes away. I have tried putting WD40 and armor all on the window seals, didn't help. Any solutions to this problem? Has anyone else experienced this excruciatingly annoying sound?

Try gummi pfledge, or if you can't find it, something like Wurth Rubber Maintenance. Normally though it's not the glass rubbing against the window frame, it's the door frame rubbing against the chassis.

Do you know where to find the Gummi Pfledge or Wurth's Rubber Maintenance? I looked at Wal-Mart and Baxter Auto Parts and couldn't find it ?

As for Wurth's offering, I don't think I can link to a place that's not a sponsor here but google "Wurth Rubber Care Gel Stick" and it should show up for about $15. It also comes as a spray but I heard it's a mess to apply.

Hi guys, I was having the same problem and this is what I did, I went to the Target Store bought a pack of Wax Crayons (yes those that kids use to paint) and paint all the doors borders that touch the frames and since last week I don't have any sound coming from the doors. (I got this trick from the Audi forum) lol.
