Question for you... Does Z16 work well and last like Zaino claims on their web-site (4 weeks and repel rain and dust) and what does the wheel sealant do? If I've had my car for almost a year, is it too late to put on the wheel sealant next spring? Thanks in advance!

Z16 does last longer than any other tire dressing I've used. 4 weeks? Maybe if you don't get much rain, but doubtful. I wash my car maybe once a week and it'll go through two washes, I re-apply on the third usually. It depends on how shiny you like the tires all the time; if you apply two "coats" they will stay shiny until the first wash, but the blackness stays well into the third wash or so.
The wheel sealant is basically a paint sealant that is just designed to withstand higher temps (since wheels get hot), some guys just use a paint sealant on their wheels. I like the wheel sealant so I use it. All it does is helps make brake dust easier to clean but not allowing the wet dust (which becomes acidic) to embed into the clear of the wheel. You can apply it anytime, I would recommend a really good cleaning before hand, though (if possible take the wheels off and really clean them well). Cheers. |
