How many people do you actually know that bought a BMW at invoice?

I would do the g37 vert. Just seems in the last few years the 3 series has raised in price to a point that I am not sure it is worth it. Sure the twin turbo 3 series is a better car then the 37 series but at what price point does it not make sense anymore.
To me the best part of a vert is nite time driving. The heat is not what kills you its the sun. Last time I looked AZ has a night time and that is the best time for a Vert.

uh.......maybe a 335i sedan
probably not a 335i coupe and DEFINETLY not a 335i convertible i am interested in a convertible, no way i am getting an e93 at invoice. and even if that was possible, comparing an e93 (with similar equipment) at invoice to a G37 at invoice is still a big difference?

I'll probably get flamed for this but how about a 135 vert? It is smaller inside but has more trunk space with the top down than either the G37 or the E93. And, it's as fast as the E92 and faster than the E93. Not sure about the G37 but I would think it would be faster than that too considering it is a hard top convertible.

I looked at both (not verts but coupes). The 335i is a great car - but when you option them out, a $10-12k difference is fairly significant (maybe more on a vert?). I have not regretted my decision to get the G37 and the tech integration is very important to me. My buddy has a 335xi and he still has to use the aux cable for his ipod on his logic7 stereo. How is a cable a $500 option and not standard??? But I digress. In an ideal world, or one where money is not an object at least, most people would go 335i vert. But my opinion is that you get nearly as good of a car for much less in price with the G37 vert. That said, either way you go, pick a color that hides those hard-top seams...

and yes i would get the G37 conv with black exterior, stone interior. i probably wouldn't get the S (or sport pkg) because i wouldn't want to sacrafice the cooling seat function!

If you looked at the Purchase section, you would know people have been getting invoice or a $100 more than it on all kinds of 335i. In fact, some dealers will even sell you a car near ED invoice if you wanted to go that way (this even applied to the M3). |

MORE IMPORTANTLY, for the 10th time, even an e93 [equipped] at invoice COMPARED to a G37 [equipped] at invoice is still a big price gap. AND TO OTHER MEMBERS, the TROLL alert is going off. Schumacher is a NEW member, drives a F2009?, and lives in a Box. Maybe in a BOX they sell all 335i's at invoice.

I think the bluetooth works great and I appreciate being able to control the ipod through the Nav, and have the menus be sortable just like the ipod. I also use the steering wheel controls and voice activation for many phone and navigation controls. The only thing I really use the knob for is the ipod. So can't really compare to the new iDrive since I haven't used it. But at the time (2.5 years ago), I felt the G37 had the best interface on an entry level luxury car. With the updated interfaces, higher res TFTs, etc - that very well may no longer be the case. Sounds like a good combo - I have a Black G37 and I think is far and away the best color - probably even more so with a vert. With the stone interior and cooled seats that would help out a lot with AZ heat, too. That hardtop is pretty heavy though so as long as you don't mind the performance hit, then I don't think the S makes a huge difference either. |

The biggest things I will miss from the S (or Sport pkg) are the Sport front facsia, the bigger/infiniti caliper brakes, aluminum pedals are nice, and the wheels are will probably just get as an option. i am actually thinking of having the dealership dip the 19s in chrome, to contrast with the black exterior. very common in AZ i have learned for dealers to dip OEM rims in chrome, they never offered that back east (winters).

So if you cannot argue, you have to bring up my joining up date? Did you notice that your entire post collection was filled with words like "i don't think" "probably" "don't know if" and other such crap? Looks like pretty weak ammunition with which to chide a guy. P.S: The F2009 is the codename for the 2009 Ferrari F1 car. Looks like you don't even know what that is. |

In any case, do whatever. Your choice of car does not bother me in the least and you have shown to be completely incapable of carrying a civilized conversation. P.S: People don't join a Forum unless they own the stuff they are about. I will leave it here before you look like a bigger tool pursuing this angle. About the F2009, they don't sell the 2009 F1 car the same year it finishes a season. |

Show me someone, anyone, with proof, that he/she purchased a 335i for invoice. I would be willing to be that only a handful exist, and even those are the exception rather than the norm. Hell, my friend who's a mechanic at the local dealer doesn't even get a car at invoice. Invoice plus a %, yes, but straight invoice, no. That's not including cars sitting on the lot. Of course the dealer is going to be willing and motivated to sell a car on the lot for cheap or even at a potential loss just to move it. If it's a last MY car, even moreso. I doubt that many have gotten a "ordered" 335i at invoice. Again, Schumacher, don't speculate, provide proof or at least a link to a thread where a member claims to have purchased their car at invoice. I'll admit I don't read EVERY single thread, but I haven't seen one yet.
