New Rims For My E93
Thinking about replacing the stock rims that came with my e93 323, but torn between 19" Starspoke 311 Chrome's from BMW and 19" Breyston GTS's. Any comments?

However, surely there are general considerations e.g. weight and made of the rims. Also another "minor" one, my wife did complaint about losing the BMW emblems on the rims after I changed to Prodrive...

Although the Breyton's cost about a 1/3 less, and can be had in HK the same day, (the 311's take 4 weeks to order in Germany and 4 weeks to ship over to HK), I've seen a few e90 series with those wheels versus haven't seen any 311's in HK (frog from a well bottom?). And the biggest consideration for me to go for the 311's is the fact they come from BMW direct, so no worries about fitment. Just placed order for 311's, now comes the long wait.......

They're Heeeeere!!!
After a 3-month wait, my 311's are finally here!!! Going to Chaiwan in the morning to put them on, I don't think I'd be able to sleep tonight!! p.s. the tire/wheel combo ended up costing more than I expected because I didn't get the VAT refund from the German tax authorities, bummer!

Hi Albert,
As requested, here's a picture of the car with the new wheels which I took this morning. Sorry about the flash reflection, but I'll try to take some better quality pictures this weekend.. /Users/chanjonathan/Pictures/iPhoto Library/Modified/2009/100NCD80/DSC_0004_2.JPG |

Here's another picture I took this evening. William, I think you're absolutely right, red would go well with the black paint, as well as the interior, which also is red.

I believe the rim should match with
1. a 6pot Red Brembo Brake C5060 plus 2. a more powerful aggreesive package (like Wald) and better to 3. lower the car a bit by change a PP9 suspension kit and least but not last 4. M3 sport leather steering wheel ...... and...... ..... hahaha.... this is just a begining |

I saw this car before, the outcome between the black color car and this chrome wheel really doesn't as good as you think, and I won't make my car like Jap's car or MK look, but, this is just my personal experience. By the way, this chrome is produced from Taiwanese? Last edited by Renus; 12-13-2009 at 10:11 AM.. |
