Which Ipod (model/gen) will work with 6fl (no-navi) ?

I've been reading and reading and so many people having problems with ipod and which cords to use etc.

I have 2009 335i no-navi and got the 6fl cord for free from dealer. I guess any generation Nano would work? I don't need anything fancy...just wanna keep it in my car.

I initially bought the ipod shuffle..but that didnt work...

My 1st Generation nano and iPhone both work flawlessly. I would think any model should be fine.

If you use an iPhone, just ignore the messages the iPhone gives you. It still plays fine and charges as well.

You will be fine. Shuffles do not work though.

As I've found out, this isn't entirely true.

When I first got my car, my 3GS charged fine. Now it no longer does. It's hit or miss, and BMW has not gotten off their ass to update the software to fix it (it *is* a software problem, according to multiple SAs that I've talked to).

What doesn't make sense, however, is why in another thread, a gentleman bought this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=270445089743

and now it works. I don't get it

I've used both an old iPod Mini and the 2nd gen Nano and both work fine.
