HPFP failures..
When they go, is the car undriveable, or does it just go into limp mode? How long have some gone with long starts (3-5 seconds) when cold to complete failure?
I think I need to take my car in before I get stranded somewhere. |

If you're not throwing codes most likely your service center will not do anything. I've had intermittent long cranks and one 1/2 power light in 13K miles but no failure yet. Nothing in the last 2 months at all not even long cranks (now I've junxed myself).

From personal experience (Ive changed two already). The first time I had a prolonged start and then at the next light it went into limp mode and I had to get it changed the next day because it did the same thing two more times.
The second instance I was just having slow starts and never went into limp mode but suspected it was the HPFP and the dealership confirmed and replaced it before I had any codes. |

Guys/gals,
We have sticky for HPFP failure now. I just wish the Mod could copy it over from General e90 forum http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=333519 |
