Grey Market 323i or 320i - caveat?
Hi all - looking for a brand new 323i or 320i. I heard about grey market dealers and their lower price tags (about 20% difference?).
Assuming I can verify that it is in fact brand new, what are the other caveats to watch out for? Thanks in advance! If this is not the place to talk about grey market stuff, you have my apologies. |

Even if they are 'brand new', I would get an AA inspection just to make sure there was no prior water damage. Check that the options you are getting with the vehicle matches the HK specs and what sort of warranty is included.
Good luck with your purchase!

after buying a water good "brand new" japanese car in the past, i have something to say:
-"brand new" doesn't mean anything. u can get brand new on the documents even the car has a mileage of >10k km -check the leather seats for wear and tear, very useful sign of whether the car has been used or not -AA doesn't have a good reputation; HKMI is better -when i bought my car, bmwhk asked me to sign a contract ensuring the car won't be sold to other countries in 6 months ( or 1 yr? forgot already) i think this may apply to dealers in other countries too, so i dun think someone will wait 6 months for a brand new car when u can get it much quicker and much safer from the dealer so, good luck! |
