Why are the figures on the 2.0 177bhp almost identical up to around 2000rpm pre-map / mapped? the other engines show marked difference right from the start. Also, the torque gains over original looks considerably lower compared to the other engines. e.g. 177 @ 280 lbft to 337 lbft = +20% 163 @ 258 lbft to 340 lbft = +31% Or am I reading it wrongly?

The power follows the original curve to begin with at full load on the manual cars to protect the clutch.
You can read a review of the upgrade by BMW Car magazine here The other engines are more tuneable. Any more power on the 320d 177 and you start to get transmission rumble. Last edited by Imran@Evolve; 02-04-2010 at 04:23 AM.. |

Hi Imran,
Do you have any graphs for the E92 325D? |

Hi Imran,
So the graph for the 320d is for a manual car. Does the auto has the same limitations or is the graph different? Another one or two questions if I may. If I am worried about my car and I just want 205-210 HP and 310-320 lb/ft torque is that possible. Will the graph be as smooth as the one you show? Can I have two maps on the switch? The normal map and a more conservative one (eg based on economy providing more mpg) and is there a problem switching often between maps. Thanks |

Will there be an evolve switch for petrol cars?
I really like the idea of being able to switch the map back to standard before putting the car in for servicing etc. |

Yes - here you go. An additional 40-60 Ft/lbs Torque and 40-50 BHP.
This was a manual car. The owner of this car is a forum member so hopefully he will put a review up soon. |

Here is a graph from an auto - as you can see it is very smooth. You can have less power if you want. We can also provide an additional map but this would incur an additional cost. We feel that additional maps are just a gimmick as the remaps we give as default provide extra MPG anyway. There is not problem with switching maps often if the instructions are followed correctly. |

This suggests that BMW massively under quote for the 325d (marketing?). Looking at the other graphs this also appears to be true of the 330d albeit to a lesser extent but the two 320d versions and 335d appear close to quoted. Mine also is a manual so I shall look forward to a review as I am still very interested. |

Is this for the "imaginary" 335i you have?
