Formula 1 tint in the GTA

yup, so does FX auto...though my Krown Lakeshore experience was awesome.. they book you back 2 weeks after your tint date for a check up..on the check up date, that 1 side of the tint was a bit "lower" cause of the autowindow down/up thing...Igor(one of the owners) said..pull it I dont like it..and re did that window...anddd my dot matrix turned out great..

i'm not sure if FX auto carries Huper Optik, though?

Huper Optik has always been marginally more expensive than other brands, I think it's because there tint is double layer vs. the single layer stuff(e.g. f1 pinnacle) ...it's extremely hard to locate Huper until earlier this year...

Thanks bunnn! From the start, I wanted Huper, but the only place I found that had it is in Oakville, and they wanted almost double what I paid for mine from one of the earlier tint group buys... since it's too far for me to go, I cheaped out on the tint and got it done at Thornhill. So far it's ok, but I think it got scratched very slightly even though they put felt along the edge. I know where to go next time!

I am thinking of going with the Pinnacle Ceramic...

I take it everyone that is using Formula 1 is happy?

Sometimes I wonder if there is a really a huge difference between "good" tint brands. Especially a lot of them offer a lifetime warranty.

I have used it on 4 cars now.

put 35% F1 on my e90 at FX . Think it was $250. Wayne's a nice guy to deal with.

$250? Was it the Pinnacle Ceramic? Most places are asking for like $350-$400

Sorry! I meant $275. A while back there was a group buy at thornhill tint. I just negotiated with Wayne at FX to give me a similar price for the Pinnacle F1 tint.

+1 for FX Auto... I did the F1 pinnacle 35% on my e92 and 15% on my old e90... the 15 was too dark.. and I think the 35 is a bit too light... wish they had a 20%

.. but I guess u can always do 15% on the rear windows and 35% on the front to try and blend it all...

they do have 20%. i wanted 25%, but they only had 35,30,20,15 so i went with 20%. sometimes i wish i went for 15% so i keep my sunroof cover closed to make it a bit darker in the cabin haha

they did a good job but i still hate the rear dot matrix...i want to have that part of the tint cut off and just put some black vinyl there or something but i dont know where to go to get that done.

you can try thornhill tints...you might be able to get a discount still

Called a few months ago and they wanted just under $400. Do you think a group buy will bring it down to the $250 range ?

The $250-$275 from FX is their so-called Winter special. Therefore, I do not think when spring comes, they will still be charging this. I remember the regular price is $350 - $375

I just spoke to him and the regular price is apparently now $375, not sure how much they would reduce it by...
