Found both fully downloaded this morning (just 12 hours after I started the download, thanks guys!).
Burned using ImgBurn and used in my car on my way to work. Works like a charm. No red light cameras, but that's no biggie for me since there were like 2 in the whole Seattle area on the previous DVD. POIs are vastly improved as far as I can see, at least for the Seattle area, I did a couple of quick searches on restaurants around me that I was not able to find in the 09 version before, and it found them all. Thanks again, will continue to seed. |

I have used both and both have worked just fine. Some old DVD writers may be compatible with only one or the other but most new DVD writers can burn both types.

Like the new update.. Major roads in different color (RED), standard street in yellow, haven't checked HWY yet. Also it has the new developments in my area.. Haven't had the chance to play around much.
But So far looks good.. MANY thanx to G0123, Higgs & rault.

I agree but which is faster or quicker when Idrive reads the disc. I noticed on my 135i that a burnt disc is slower than the original when looking up navigation places. I want to try to avoid this delay this time around if at all possible.

Try a different burner, I noticed old burners cause this problem. I had the same issue with my LG burner for DL but as soon I used my Sony portable burner it worked like a charm. Good luck

Just to answer my own question I conducted a little test.
Sony -r 4x burn vs verbatim +r 4x burn, both using same burner and burning software. Maybe it's in my head but +r is definitely faster for me (I tested with stopwatch). Again may not be same for you - or maybe I'm biased because I already had preconceptions before this test. |

Not me, my ISP sucks. It'll be many days for me to dl both. I kinda live in the sticks, I have very few ISPs to choose from.

Dude, it's the same screen . . . it's not like we're getting the LCI iDrive or anything. It's just the MAPS and the POIs which are (hopefully) updated. Your screen will not look any different.
