^ yip, what Nature said, you don't need a jack, you can remove all the screws.
I mean it's way easier if you have a jack and take off the wheels, but hey, if you don't have one, you don't. You can make ado without one

when you installed the bulbs, did you have to jack up the car and remove wheels?

damn this mod is easier than pmb's or lux 2.0...on a 1-10, i rate it a 2 took me all of 20 mins!!!
follow the instructions on the manual... 1) you pop the hood 2) remove the little piece of plastic thats in the wheel well right behind the lights by turning it with a screwdriver 3) now you can wrap you hands around it (1 hand through the wheel well, the other through the engine area 4) pop the latches and the cover comes off 5) unplug the bulb 6) push the little metal arm towards the front of the car and pull to the outside of the car (away from the middle for both left and right lights) 7) pull bulb out but dont touch glass part. 8) take bulb out of box and put in the headlight. dont touch glass part. 9) push the metal clip back to latch onto the hook which secures the bulb. 10) reseal the headlight assembly 11) close the little wheel plastic thingy... you are done....my lights are soooo noice the blue hue is just like when the oem xenon's start up...thanks natureboy for the tip:rocks: somewhere in there, you can fit a beer or 2 in max......cause thats all the time it takes!! first 2 pics are of the right headlight swapped...left one is oem..last pic is both swapped. taken with a pearl so kinda crappy res.

if you need a hand, let me know...its beyond simple
i figured that germans werent stupid enough to make headlights where you have to remove the wheel or the headlight assembly in order to change the bulb...didnt need to do that on a chrysler k-car 1 years ago...

I'm having a lot of trouble with this. I was finally able to get the wheel well out, but I can't seem to find the latches and what do you mean by popping them out? Last edited by tissot; 02-28-2007 at 10:22 AM.. |

both ctgazer and I got them
your record should've been updated to include at least the package's stay in Ohio, then the Whitby warehouse.

Overhead From the wheel well (ignore the red and blue stuff) So if I'm working on the top from the engine bay, I have to push down? I'm having a really hard time on this, the thing won't budge. But I was able to get the PMBs on. |

yes those are the clips...yes you push down from the top for the 2 latches...pull up for the bottom one if you are still on top of the engine...it may be because the clip isnt clearing the part that is sticking up...use a 'L' shape allen key to help lift up the clip...ill meet you tomorrow night somewhere if you require some help...maybe canucklion can join us too and anyone else in the TO area if they need help

installation for e90 and e92 is different, there is no way you can get into the HID housing without taking out the front fenders for the e92, you can maybe take out 2 screws out of 5 from the engine bay

Finally got it installed. Took a few hours and I had some trouble with the metal brackets.
Everything looks great especially with the PMBs. On the downside I did break one of the six plastic clips  The snow storm is pretty crazy right now and it'll only get worse |
